Research

Valsad Raktdan Kendra is a Department of Science & Technology (DST)–recognized Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO), actively contributing to national health research. We are a proud research partner of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), undertaking impactful studies in Sickle Cell Anemia, Thalassemia, and other hemoglobinopathies.

Over the years, VRK has successfully completed multiple collaborative research projects with ICMR, NIH (USA), and the Department of Anthropology, University of Delhi, strengthening scientific understanding and patient care strategies.

VRK actively engages in national academic forums by participating in conferences and Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs organized by the Indian Society of Blood Transfusion and Immunohematology (ISBTI), the Indian Society of Transfusion Medicine (ISTM), the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO), and several other eminent national scientific bodies. This continuous involvement ensures that our team stays updated with the latest advancements, best practices, and innovations in transfusion medicine and hematology research.
