Vision and Mission

In 1983, looking at the need of safe blood in Valsad district and emerging issue of Sickle Cell Anaemia amongst tribal people of South Gujarat, few like minded young people joined hands in “Bringing Science to the Doorstep of Tribal Community” and initiated an NGO, Valsad Raktdan Kendra, with the aim of starting a voluntary blood bank and haematological research Centre.

Vision and Mission

  • To ensure availability of safe and quality blood and blood products to patients of rural / tribal districts of Valsad and Dang by voluntary blood donation motivation and upgrading to advanced technologies available.
  • To do hematological research and empower and enhance the quality of life of Sickle Cell Anemia (SCA) patients by taking advance technologies at community level and provide them knowledge to let them take informed decisions and prepare them for future complications of SCA.
  • To create awareness about HIV/AIDS in community especially in High Risk Behavior (HRB) group and provide them easy availability of protective measures for safe sex. To improve the quality of life of HIV/AIDS patients and empowerment.
  • To improve quality of health services in reproductive and child health.
